The AWEP Woman of the Year Award honors women who have led the way in advancing equity, economic security and leadership for women and girls in our communities through mentorship, leadership and contribution to the advancement of women in STEM.

The Association of Women Entrepreneurs and Professionals (AWEP) “Woman of the Year” award is the highest individual honor that AWEP bestows. The 2021 Award recipient will be honored at the AWEP 2021 Annual Fundraising and Awards Banquet.
Please complete the nomination form to nominate a woman for the 2021 ANWEP Woman Of the Year (WOY) Award. Remember to briefly describe your nominee’s community involvement and their contributions to promote a positive image of Nigeria in their community. We would also like to know what makes them stand out from other leaders using one specific example or milestone.

Combat Sexual Exploitation of Women
Our findings show that poverty and hunger pose the biggest threats to young children in Nigeria making them more vulnerable to sexual exploitation. Help us combat this societal ill by donating to our Adopt-a-Girl for the holidays fundraiser. ANWEP is adopting 1000 girls in 5 rural and impoverished local government areas in Nigeria for the holiday season. Help us provide food, sanitary towels, underwears, toiletries, clothing and books to these girls. ANWEP is a 501c3 tax exempt organization. All donations are tax deductible.
